Van 23 mei 2026 tot en met 21 maart 2027 presenteert het Fries Museum de tentoonstelling Robert Zandvliet: Aan de oevers van de tijd. Dit jaar wordt het werk van deze van oorsprong Friese kunstenaar getoond in twee grote internationale presentaties en verschijnt de lijvige monografie Monolith. Het Fries Museum heeft zijn werk al vroeg verzameld en ziet nu een aanleiding om het oeuvre van Zandvliet opnieuw voor het voetlicht te brengen met een overzichtelijk retrospectief. De tentoonstelling begint met werk uit de eigen collectie en eindigt met een schilderij dat vers uit het atelier komt.
From May 23, 2026, through March 21, 2027, the Fries Museum will present the exhibition 'Robert Zandvliet: On the Shores of Time'. This year, the work of this artist, who was originally from Friesland, will be featured in two major international exhibitions, and the comprehensive monograph 'Monolith' will be published. The Fries Museum began collecting his work early on and now sees an opportunity to bring Zandvliet’s oeuvre back into the spotlight with a comprehensive retrospective. The exhibition begins with works from the museum’s own collection and concludes with a painting fresh from the studio.
