In collaboration with A Guide to Leeuwarden, we are organising a tour from the Fries Museum to the Princessehof. You will get an introduction to the Fries Museum and then proceed story-wise to the Princessehof. During this short city walk from the Fries Museum to the Princessehof, the guide will tell you fun facts about the city. You will pass fascinating alleys, historical buildings, the nicest shopping streets and modern street art. Upon arrival at the Princessehof Ceramics Museum, the guide will tell you about the special history of the Princessehof as the birthplace of M.C. Escher and former city palace of the Nassau's.
Afterwards, you get a cup of coffee and/or tea in the Princessehof's special tea room (or, weather permitting, in the palace garden).

Our museum guides have received specific training in guiding people with dementia. By sharing stories, memories, associations and ideas, the participants bring the museum objects to life together. The guide helps them on their way with stimulating questions and creative assignments. Visitors with dementia can only take part in a guided tour with a guide.
