Should I buy tickets online in advance or can I buy a ticket at the museum ticket office?
To ensure your entrance to the museum, it is best to buy a ticket online. No more tickets are available at the box office after a date has sold out.

How do I order tickets?
1. Choose a date.
2. Choose a ticket type.
3. Enter your details and your preferred method of payment.
4. After payment, you can download the tickets or have them sent to your e-mail address in PDF format. It may take several minutes before you receive your tickets by e-mail. If you have not received them after a maximum of 2 hours, check if the payment has been transferred from your bank account and that your spam filter has not accidentally blocked the e-mail with the tickets. If this doesn’t work, please send an e-mail to: info@friesmuseum.nl.
5. Print your tickets and take them with you to the museum. You can also scan the barcodes of your e-tickets with your smartphone. Instead of standing in line at the ticket office, you can go straight to the ticket check.
6. Always have your discount card with you. You will be asked for it when your ticket is scanned.

Can I order tickets by telephone?
No.

What should I do if I am unable to buy tickets online?
If you do not succeed in ordering your tickets online, please try again at a later time. It is not possible to order tickets by phone. You can buy tickets at the ticket office in the museum, but we cannot guarantee their availability.

After purchase, can I get a refund or exchange my ticket for another date?
Purchased tickets cannot be returned and/or exchanged. Please ensure that you really are available on the date for which you book your ticket before you buy them.

Closed: New Year's Day, Christmas Day, King's Day
Also open: Easter Sunday, Easter Monday and Boxing Day

Is the museum open on holidays?
The museum is open on Easter Sunday, Easter Monday and Boxing Day. We are closed on New Year's Day, Christmas Day and King's Day.

Can I order tickets online for a group?
No, tickets for groups are available by calling us on +31 58 255 55 00. You can also e-mail: info@friesmuseum.nl.

Can I visit the exhibition with my pupils or students?
For bookings or school visits call Tineke Burmania, 058-2555500, or send an e-mail to: onderwijs@friesmuseum.nl.

Is my ticket valid for the entire museum?
Yes, your ticket allows you access to the entire Frisian Museum on the date specified.

What do you do with my personal data?
- We send your tickets to your e-mail address.
- If you signed up for the newsletter, you will receive it at the e-mail address you provided. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- You will receive necessary and/or relevant information that applies to your visit by e-mail, for example, in case of emergencies or updated parking information.
- After your visit, you will receive a one-off (anonymously and without obligation) visitor’s survey by e-mail.
- We ask people from the Netherlands for their postal code to identify where in the country they come from.
