To some people this can of condensed milk is pure nostalgia: finger-licking sweet creaminess. Condensed milk is partly evaporated, thickened milk, which is usually sweetened to make it less perishable. It is often used as an ingredient for cakes and desserts.

Condensed milk has been produced in Leeuwarden since 1913, as of 1919 under the name Friesche Vlag, the oldest dairy brand name in the Netherlands. Thus, the Frisian flag has been silently flying in millions of households all over the world, ever since.
